Scott Grosskopf is not unlike many fifth-generation Montanans living and working in the great state of Montana. Born into hard-working farm and ranch families on both sides of his family tree, Scott developed an outstanding work ethic together with a passionate love for Montana’s number one industry—agriculture—by following his father around as he went about the business of marketing ranches. Scott’s fundamental beliefs were forged as a young man before the days of cell phones, fax machines, or emails… when business was done at the kitchen table over a cup of coffee and followed up by a firm handshake.

Scott’s knowledge, background, education, and experiences go beyond his 20 years as a Real Estate Broker. First and foremost an entrepreneur, Scott is the creator and owner of one of the West’s premier horseman and cowboy supply stores, which was started over two and a half decades ago. Scott’s belief in and promotion of the people of Montana and its business environment are evident in his employment practices and his manufacturing facilities within the Treasure State. His background in the ownership of commercial and rental properties, along with owning and operating Montana Ranches, is a testament to his belief in investing in Montana, “The Last Best Place.”

For 20 years, Scott has represented not only sellers throughout Montana but also buyers across the globe. His expertise in navigating complicated, multi-faceted real estate transactions enables him to successfully fulfill the needs and dreams of both seller and buyer in the real estate industry. One of Scott’s most valuable assets is the vast number of relationships he has nurtured not only within the ag community but also within the farm and ranch real estate world of lenders, planning lawyers, accountants, title companies, and 1031 exchange facilitators. His networking skills and resources have been honed to a sharp edge by the years he, as president of the Montana Farm & Ranch Brokers Association, spent lobbying for Montana private property rights, which time and effort were often rewarded by successful legislation.

With the vision of implementing the ideals best suited to enable our Montana farm and ranch owners to help the next generation not only preserve but also build upon the heritage so carefully crafted by those who went before, Scott founded Heritage Ranch Brokers, an organization that offers both the sophistication of a professional and the comfort of an old and trusted friend. It’s said that Scott’s relationships don’t end at the closing table, but rather, they have just begun!
